Product information
In 1999, Controlsa S.A. launched a new concept in the design of cold store closures with the introduction of its Biport® Door, which features an international patent. Designed to meet with market trends, the door concept offers substantial reductions to cost and maintenance as it consists of a Cold Store Door (refridgeration or deep-freeze) combined with the Controlsa Roller Door. The guide tracks utilise the cold store door frame itself, allowing for all roller door components to be mounted on the exterior of the cold room, thus avoiding problems caused by condensation, ice or frost. The canvas remains rolled up on the drum on the exterior side of the cold room when the system is not being used. The Biport® can be adapted to fit into any door space, and with the combination of two products in one, offers centralised control of both, permitting tailor-made programming. Ideal for installation in cold stores in any type of industry or facility.
Frame
A Controlsa patented system that combines the closing features of a Cold Room Door with the canvas guides of the High-Speed model. These guides are heated in the case of low temperature applications.
Manufactured from materials which provide a break in the thermal bridge between the interior and exterior of the cold room.
Finished in stainless steel, pre-laquered, etc.
Cold Room Door
Various thicknesses, depending on the operating temperatures used. Finished in stainless steel, pre-laquered.
Slider Rail
Contains the mechanisms to support the door, making manual and/or automatic use easy.
Roller Drum
Drum manufactured from extruded aluminium, with a steel shaft, fitted with self-aligning bearings.
Textile-Reinforced Canvas
The canvas is fitted with side stops that are exclusive to Controlsa, which, in the event of impact against the canvas, allow it to pop out of the frame guides, thus making it possible to leave the door opening complely unencumbered; the stops feed back into their position within the guides automatically when the door is reactivated.
Extensive range of canvases available.
Optional view ports.
Operating Systems
Should an obstacle block the path of the canvas during closure and this is not detected by the safety cell, the door features a patented electronic sensor system which detects obstacles and reverses motor rotation, making it completely safe both for personnel and for loads in transit.
Actuator Kit
Electro-mechanical mechanism which provides automatic opening/closure of cold room door.
Allows door to be free when closed, thus permitting manual operation. If blocked half-way, the door features a manual de-blocking system which makes it possible to disconnect the kit from the door.
Power Supply
Single-phase + Ground. Also available in a tri-phase version, for 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
Electronic Features of the Operating Panel
Polyester box iwth IP 65 protection level. Fully electronic operation, using a frequency converter which controls the motor, plus accelerationa nd deceleration ramps and programmable automation to carry out the assiged Biport® sequence: 24V DC operating voltage.
Horizontal Safety Cell
Prevents the door from closing while it is blocked, or reverses the direction of door rotation during closure.
Protection Level
Adapted to suit the environment in which the door is to be used.
