Thermal Transfer Marking Systems
Marking by thermal transfer is a digital labelling system in which printing is carried out by melting a ribbon with pigmentation which is transferred to the material. The ink is transferred by heat (between 100 and 300°c) and produces a high-resolution, high-quality finish at high speed, onto materials where other printing methods may not be possible such as packaging and aluminium. This printing method is primarily used to mark dates, traceability information, nutrition information and barcodes.
