RAVAS at Achema 2009: Mobile weighing saves costs

RAVAS mobile weighing systems realize immediate cost savings, because weighing and transport take place at the same time. As a result cycle times are reduced, space is used more effective, and the efficiency of internal logistic processes is raised. In the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, where exact quantities of components are dosed and mixed into a finished product, mobile weighing systems communicate with ERP systems for quality control and traceability. For use in hazardous environments, RAVAS offers ATEX certified explosion proof weighing systems for EX-zones 1/21.

On the Achema RAVAS exhibits two types of explosion proof mobile weighing systems for applications in hazardous areas. The RAVAS-2100 EXi is an ATEX certified weighing hand pallet truck, standard equipped with stainless steel forks. There will also be an electric pallet truck with the explosion proof RPW EL-6 EXi weighing system. The RAVAS EXi- weighing systems are intrinsically safe for use in EX-zone 1/21. Both systems are conceived for mixing and dosing applications in EX-surroundings.

And there's more. RAVAS shows the revolutionary iForks, completely wireless scale forks that can be installed on any forklift truck in three minutes: plug and weigh! And we demonstrate SIR Mobile, the RAVAS developed software interface which enables direct communication between RAVAS scales and Windows® CE or Windows® Mobile mobile terminals. SIR Mobile allows you to register weight information from RAVAS mobile scales directly on a data terminal, and to add additional information via barcode scans or by entering order numbers or product codes. The data can be transferred to WMS or ERP software, either on-line or off-line, for quality control and traceability.
