Helping to ensure that stock touches your warehouse for the minimum time possible, and that everyone within the information chain is instructed and informed immediately.

Proteus® provides a high level of flexibility in operation and powerful reporting and enquiry capabilities that generate predictive and concise information. Proteus® is a dynamic suite of warehouse centric software designed to integrate with any existing ERP/Supply Chain solution or the full Proteus® suite of application software, including inventory management, sales order processing, purchasing and financial accounting.

Good Receiving
With advance notice of the Expected Receipts of individual product and the quantities from suppliers or other warehouses, the Proteus® Warehouse Management System allows the team to plan in advance and management of expected deliveries.

Goods arriving at the warehouse can be receipted either manually against the supplier purchase order or scanned for accurate verification of the receipts, at which point the Proteus® Directed Warehouse Management System will allocate putaway tasks to clear the good inward bays quickly and efficiently.

Warehouse Map
The Proteus® Warehouse Map ensures your warehouse environment and characteristics are reflected within the business process logic of Proteus® that is fundamental to the running of our solution.

The flexibility of the map enable Warehouse Managers to transpose the way their warehouse should work, in accordance with the operational rules they may wish to invoke and define the use for different warehouses and the many areas, zones, rows, aisles and tiers of the warehouse.

Warehouse Rules
The Proteus® Warehouse Rules are a series of individual requirements that applies to areas, zones, rows, aisles and tiers of the warehouse and allows the assignment of these rules to product groups or individual stock items. The rules are sequenced and this allows the effective control of stock locations, the putaway and picking of stock within the warehouse and which equipment is need or allowed to operate within a particular part of the warehouse or individual bin(s).

Task Management
The Proteus® Task Manager controls the release and allocation of orders, deliveries and warehouse activity and allows the assignment of tasks, groups of tasks or load to warehouse staff. It will also dynamically assign tasks to warehouse staff to achieve efficiency of activity during the working day.

The Warehouse Team can view task activity and priorities tasks to meet the changing demands of the business to meet customer service targets and load requirements.

Resource Manager
The Proteus® Resource Manager enables the warehouse team to define the equipment available, that operates within each warehouse. It also provides the ability to map operators/warehouse staff qualified to use each equipment type.

This is particularly useful to comply with the Health and Safety requirements and ensures only trained staff uses specific equipment.

Users will be tracked whilst logged on and a record kept of equipment used, by whom and the period of usage.

Pick Management
The Proteus® Pick Planning module helps enhance the efficiency of picking, by allowing the grouping of orders for picking purposes. Examples of criteria commonly used for grouping are:

  • Delivery area
  • Delivery method
  • Date required
