And what is more, the system pays for itself within a very short space of time.

OSS - ORDER STORAGE SYSTEM
The OSS is a semi-automatic, paperless system operated via radio frequency terminals for processing batch orders. Ideal for all non-breakable products which, can only be picked manually. For fast, medium and slow-moving products. For all product shapes with maximum dimensions of 400 x 260 x 200 mm (except fragile products). Complements KNAPP autopickers or functions as a stand-alone system.

COMPUTER-CONTROLLED ZONE PICKING
The warehouse is divided into zones (stations) which are connected to each other by computer-controlled conveyors. Picking is carried out based on pick lists or alternative paperless methods.

  • KISoft VOICE DIRECTED PICKING: It is the new dimension in paperless picking systems. Manual input belongs to yesterday - today's voice-directed system leaves you free to move.
  • Paperless with Pick-to-Light system: Performance: between 300 and 1000 picks per man-hour. Error rate below 0.15%. Rapid orientation due to bright position displays. Both hands of operator free for picking. Variations for slow-moving products also available.
  • Paperless with RF-terminals: Performance: between 200 and 400 picks per man-hour. Countercheck scanner readings for an error rate below 0.1%. Positions displayed with shortest route. High operational flexibility. Can also be used for other applications.
  • Paper-based with pick lists: Performance: between 80 and 300 picks per man-hour. Error rate below 1%. High operational flexibility. Pick lists can be printed and automatically inserted into containers at order start station.
MPS - LEAN ORDER PICKING
The intelligent software-based picking system for the shortest possible transit times. Similar to an autopicker though the manually-picked partial orders are consolidated automatically. All order parts are collected at the same time from the separate zones. Additional tasks such as document and container handling are no longer necessary. Software-based zone management and zone allocation helps to flexibly balance the workload distribution during the varying peak hours.

GOODS-TO-MAN PRINCIPLE
The picking system brings the goods to the pick location. Once the required articles have been taken out the remaining goods are returned to the system on the load carrier.
  • OSR 32: Automatic storage and order fulfilment system for small parts of up to 32 kg. New technology facilitates parallel and independent operation on all shelf levels.
