The Davis Derby StedFAST conveyor pullwire operated safety switch is used all around the world in a variety of industries including coal mining, quarrying, ports and cement plants.

There is a version approved for use in areas where there is a hazard from explosive dusts such as coal dust, fertilisers, flour, grain and other explosive dusts.

The body is moulded from a high stability UV protected polycarbonate which is tough and light in weight. The incoming and outgoing cables are connected via cable glands or plugs and sockets to a 12 way easy access terminal block.

The operating knob is sealed with an O ring and the lid is fitted with a fully recoverable closed cell silicon gasket.

The StedFAST pull key has a snap action mechanism to meet the requirements of PD 5304:2000 and BSEN 620:2002 "Standards for trough conveyors".

A range of compatible Relay control units and accessories are also available to interface with the conveyor control contactor.

The StedFAST pullwire system comprises a number of H800 pullwire operated safety switches and an optional relay control unit. A full range of accessories are available to complete the installation. Systems are available to control long overland conveyors up to 17km in length, and intrinsically safe systems for use in coal mines up to 10km in length.
