Loadhouses
- Brand: Crawford
An independent loading system, containing all the relevant components: leveller, shelter and door.
Detailed information about the product Loadhouses
The load house is an independent loading system, containing all the relevant components: leveller, shelter and door. Together with the Autodock bottom platform and an insulated or no insulated cladding house, a complete, stand-alone dock loading system is formed.
Placed outside the door opening of a warehouse or terminal, the operator will gain inside space advantages compared to a conventional, inside docking installation in new as well as in existing buildings without any major building modifications.
Due to the thermal separation between building and docking unit, the Loadhouse can be used in temperature controlled applications. The Loadhouse therefore meets most operator demands.
Same storage area, smaller building
The load house makes possible to move the actual loading and unloading area outside the building and thereby releasing the corresponding floor area inside.
Better insulation
The load house also forms a protective barrier between building and vehicle, contributing to energy savings and an improved working environment. Dock levellers and shelters can be integrated with the load house, together forming a complete Autodock® system.
Cheaper construction
As there is no need for complicated concrete pit construction the total cost of the building is reduced.
It comprises all components of a docking system: dock leveller, dock shelter, sectional door, autodock (supporting structure) and the cladding. Since it is installed outside the building directly in front of the door opening it has great advantages over a conventional internal ramp for both new buildings as well as for existing buildings that are to be upgraded without any major modifications to the construction of the building.
It is general standard that the whole steel frame construction of the Loadhouse hot dip galvanized. A roof drainage system and flashings adapted to your building are recommended as options.

These are the advantages of the Loadhouse
- The thermal separation of the warehouse from the docking system guarantees a considerable decrease in energy costs. This is highly important for temperature controlled warehouses and freezer warehouses.
- Easy and fast installation due to pre-assembled components which are installed on existing foundations and which can be fastened on the outside wall of the building. For extensions the installation is possible during the normal loading and unloading activities.
- The cladding consists either of non-insulated profile sheet material or of 40mm insulation panels; it can also be cladded with the material of the warehouse facade.
- The Loadhouse design allows the use of swing lip or telescopic lip dock levellers and the installation of different dock shelters which are exactly matched to the loading frequency.
- Since the system consists of individual components it can be installed either as a normal 90° multiple system or if the room in front of the loading system is limited as an angled multiple system or as a single house.
- The storage room in the warehouse is extended since the complete docking system is placed outside the building.
- Even shorter tax depreciation periods are possible. Please ask your tax lawyer.
- Design loads according to DIN 1055 Teil 4
- max. snow load: 3,0 kN/m²
- max. wind load 0.65 kN/m² - Design of the steel construction according to DIN V EN V 1993 1.1-1.3, EUROCODE 3
- Observe the local building regulations.
