MHE wire-guidance systems can be affected by the reinforcement in a concrete floor particularly where the steel is too close to the surface. Result, the MHE can come "off wire" and collide with the racking. Disaster!

If problems are being experienced with wire-guided MHE and floor-flatness is not an issue, it is possible that the steel floor reinforcement is to blame. It is generally accepted that less than 50mm of concrete cover over the reinforcement is likely to cause problems with a wire-guidance system.
